What I like in this beach is, that it is tranquil, safe and has more or less clear water. Upon your arrival by boat to the pier of Taboga island (known as the “Island of Flowers” ) with its small fishing village, the beach is located on the right side and if there is no much water, the sand connects Taboga with the small island of El Morro. Restinga beach has yellow sand flanked by calm waters, but at tide the beach almost disappears.
Due to the fact that Taboga is located very close to the Panama City, on weekends there are many Panamanian people with their coolers full of beers and sodas to have a rest. For years you only could access the Restinga beach via the Hotel Taboga, which was demolished in 2005. This beach does not have a shadow, but you can rent an umbrella from the locals, there are also public bathrooms and changing rooms close and enough options where to eat a delicious corvina! There are also enough options for lodging.
